Não há nada errado em ser um TURISTA, mas a palavra tem poder, e quando nos consideramos VIAJANTES, parece mais leve, que você não fica preso tanto em horários e correria, pois é disso que fugimos quando pensamos em férias. Você se sente mais a vontade e menos cobrado, tudo o que você conhecer será bem aproveitado. Costumamos ver umas comparações que vou reproduzir aqui, e que concordo plenamente. Enquanto o TURISTA observa as coisas, pessoas e lugares a distância, com medo de interagir, de se comunicar pelo obstáculo do idioma, por exemplo, o VIAJANTE vivência o que está ao seu redor, ele se arrisca, se mistura, experimenta o novo.

O TURISTA pergunta só o extremamente necessário, já o VIAJANTE se engaja, faz contato com o local, troca experiências com quem conversar. O TURISTA se alimenta para conseguir fazer tudo o que está na sua lista dos principais pontos turísticos, enquanto o VIAJANTE aprecia o sentar num lugar agradável, tomar um bom café, apreciar uma boa refeição e um bom vinho sem stress, observando, relaxado, curtindo o momento.

Seguem mais algumas comparações. Enquanto o TURISTA reclama, o VIAJANTE respeita as diferentes crenças e culturas. O TURISTA experimenta o momento, enquanto o VIAJANTE faz do momento, uma experiência de vida.

Cada um tem que fazer o que se sente melhor. Ir somente aos pontos turísticos, comer "fast food" onde já conhece para não se atrapalhar ao fazer o pedido, fazer compras... eu já fui assim, mas a experiência nos traz conhecimento, o apreciar cada momento e passamos a olhar o sentido de viajar com outros olhos, os de viajante como minha referência acima. Poder sair da rotina, viajar, olhar as pessoas com respeito e empatia, ficar maravilhado com cada novidade, respirar fundo, apreciar cada momento, não tem preço, como dizia uma campanha publicitária de tempos atrás. You must do what feels best. Go only to the tourist sightseeings, eat fast food where you already know so avoiding being disturbed when ordering food, go shopping ... I was like that, but experience brings us knowledge, appreciating each moment and we start to look at the meaning of traveling with different eyes, those of travelevers as my reference above. To be able to get out of the routine, travel, look at people with respect and empathy, be amazed by each news, take a deep breath, enjoy each moment, is priceless, as an advertisement campaign said a long time ago.
